ImageWell

I put this application in the Utility section because it does so many things. Its my favorite for reducing image sizes because of the visual indicator. It can also add captions, watermarks etc, etc .....

This is my application of choice for playing music files on my Mac. Its donation-ware. I donate because it saves me launching that 300 pound gorilla - iTunes.

Did I mention that I hate iTunes?

Vox has EQ, FX, File conversion etc.

Although I have both Apple’s Pages and Swift Publisher, I find myself using Bean more and more.

Best of all - its free!

This incredibly useful freeware application will check your website for broken links and save you hours of testing.

This section is for applications that I use a lot but don’t really fit it into any category.

I’m going to include as much “safe” freeware as possible because I know a lot of you will be building maybe just one website and won’t be able to justify the expense of shareware.

I’m not going to include any “commercial” software here as most of it is overpriced and under supported.

Does anybody dare to disagree with this statement.

Jack (the Jack Audio Connection Kit) is a low-latency audio server with Mac OS X support. It can connect any number of different applications to a single hardware audio device; it also allows applications to send and receive audio to and from each other.

Jack is different from other audio server efforts in that it has been designed from the ground up to be suitable for professional audio work. This means that it focuses on two key areas: synchronous execution of all clients, and low latency operation
