If you want to get your CD into stores you need the services of a Distributor.
As an independent artist or small record label, none of the Big Shots in this game will want to know you.
CD Baby has an arrangement with SUPER D and this may work for you if you are an independent record label.
Artist 1 Stop is more geared towards the independent musician or band wanting to get their music into the music chain stores.

Its worth mentioning the the managers of stores like Barnes & Noble have the authority to stock your CD on a store by store basis.
If you want to be in all their stores your CD has to be stocked & listed by Alliance Entertainment. This is where Artist 1 Stop comes in.
If you are known locally a lot of non music related businesses will sell your product if the profit margin is good.
One of my buddies runs a car wash and kept bugging me to let him sell my CDs. I gave him 20 on consignment and they sold in two days!
