How to accept credit card payments on your website.
PayPal is probably the best known and easiest to use method of selling products and services from a website.
To get started you need a PayPal Merchant Account. Then you can decide if you want a Standard Account which is free or a Pro Account which entails a monthly fee.
Once the account is setup you can create the Buy, Add to Cart and View Cart buttons. You can either use the standard PayPal buttons or use your own custom ones.
The advantage of using the standard buttons is that most people are familiar with them. The problem is that they can really spoil a webpage design.

Creating a standard PayPal Add To Cart button...
For a custom button, upload it to your server and enter its URL...
Save the button, select and copy the code and then paste it into an HTML Snippet on the web page.
Note that you won’t be able to preview a custom button on the PayPal website.
The image for the custom button should be in PNG or GIF format and its size in pixels should the size you want it to appear on the page.

The Website Marketing Ebook contains step by step instructions for setting up a webpage to sell using PayPal.
It has a link to download a folder of custom buttons along with full instructions on how to get them working for you.
