How to create image links for other websites to link to yours.

A very important part of SEO is to get links to your website from other similar sites that potential customers may visit. These sites should be relevant to your own.

If you are an independent musician you can go to the Indie Link Exchange to sign up.

Another possibility with a wider range of website types is Link Lister.

When you get a response from a webmaster willing to exchange links, its a good idea to be able to offer them the code for an image link that will attract more attention than a boring text one.

The button image link uses the code shown below. The URL marked in blue is that of the target web page. The one in red is the URL to the PNG image on the server.

A good website for creating your own banners for free is Banner Fans.

Once you have finished your work of art, download the PNG for their website, upload it to your server and use the code on this page to display it.
