The Importance of Keywords in your Website

Keywords
Keywords are the key to success in search engine optimization.
Keywords are those particular words that surfers enter into a search box to find relevant information.
What you have to do is guess what words people will enter that will lead them to your site.
Keywords should be included in your URL, page name, text and captions. Page names in the URLs should be separated by hyphens [dashes] rather than underscores.
Don’t repeat the words too much or you will be a Spammer. This will cause you to be banned from Google. Reinstatement is NOT easy if this happens to you.

SEKeyword
Open your Google dashboard, click on a website and, on its dashboard page, click on "More >>".
Now you should see a list of Keywords that Google has found and rated their significance.
This will give you an idea of how successful your keyword campaign has been.
Think about which ones potential viewers are going to enter into a search to find your site. If any of your main keywords are not near the top of the list then you need to go back to your text and add them.
For example, if I thought that more people were going to search for Roddy than iWeb, I would include my name several times in each page.
From this list I can see that I need to cut my use of words like file, files and folder and increase my use of words like musicians, website and poltergeists!
