Your website hosting service will usually have some means of recording statistics.

My hosting service - Host Excellence - allows me to use Webalizer.

Once you have turned one this feature you can make them available to the public or keep them private.

Hit Counters

Hit counters are a good way to show how popular your webpages are if you are into that sort of thing but, unless you are publishing to MobileMe, the iWeb version is unusable.

There a many free versions available on the internet if you do a search. One example is.....

Choose your counter style, fill in the webpage URL, the starting number, the number of digits required and click “submit”.

Copy the generated code and paste it into an HTML snippet on your iWeb page.

Being a cynic, I am a bit dubious about the validity of stat counters as you can easily set the counter to whatever starting number you want!
